The Roots and Shoots Club is a start up course, the follow on course for those who have done the pre-start up course, The Sowing Club, and are ready to start a small business.
The course is a funded 12 month programme based on the highly successful Growing Club curriculum, but in greater depth.
The purpose of the course is to:
- Take women through a systematic programme of starting and growing a solid sustainable business.
- Equip participants with the skills to run a small business
- Ensure systems are in place to make things run as smoothly as possible from day 1
- Provide peer support to break the isolation and build confidence
The course will run twice a month for the first 6 months and then monthly for the next 6 months when each participant will be given access to a mentor for continued support.
Most small businesses fail in the first 2 years because the business owner does not have business skills to support their idea. Roots and Shoots addresses that problem to ensure participants have the skills and the support they need.
