The Growing Club CIC

Written Evidence submitted to The Women and Equalities Committee

The Women and Equalities Committee has launched an inquiry into female entrepreneurship examining the barriers women face  pursuing entrepreneurship. The inquiry will analyse in which sectors of the economy women face the greatest obstacles to entrepreneurship and why, and consider what can be done to address these. It will look at examples of best practice in supporting female-led entrepreneurship, both in the UK and internationally, plus what steps the Government should take to help support the development of female-led high growth enterprises. MPs will explore how women can best secure funding to start and grow their businesses, including a focus on intersectional issues and regional variations in opportunity.

An invitation was made public for those with experience of female entrepreneurship to submit evidence to the enquiry and I’m pleased to say that The Growing Club submitted a paper that has now been published on a parliament website. You can read our paper and other submissions here. the committee will now meet to review the evidence submitted.
