In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is undeniable. In a recent panel discussion, 4 panellists delved into the realm of AI and its influence on the lives of women, addressing not only the benefits of AI but also the crucial aspects of using it safely and ethically.
Whilst Artificial Intelligence in itself is not new, use of apps like Chat GBT is rapidly growing and leading to debates and controversy.
In a world where there is a big gender digital gap*, it would be all too easy for women to be left behind, or simply become passive recipients of Artificial Intelligence.
In an article in 2023 UN Women wrote, Some ways the digital divide can be bridged are by increasing access to technology, improving education about the use and application of technology, as well as providing training on how to properly use and maintain various types of technology (see here).
And so, with the intention that women do not get left behind again, and in fact feel empowered to use AI tools for their business, Jane Binnion, Louise Graham, Tasmin Lofthouse and Bethany Paliga got together for a panel discussion bringing a wealth of expertise to the table.
This panel discussion aims to unravel the multifaceted impact of AI on women’s lives, exploring opportunities, challenges, and the path to ethical and inclusive integration. Join us as we navigate this changing landscape, understanding AI not just as a technological advancement but as a transformative force that shapes our roles, voices, and experiences in this digital age.
